Each box names a judge at the town where the Bible places him or her: Othniel at Debir, Deborah between Ramah and Bethel, Gideon at Ophrah, Jephthah at Mizpah, Samson at Zorah. The red dashed line shows the land Israel held. Ehud is missing from the map; he delivered Israel from Moab. Shamgar's place is a guess from his father's name, Anath. The Bible does not say where he lived.
