The western hill of Jerusalem, called Mount Zion for many centuries.

Note: Zion in the Bible is the City of David (2 Samuel 5:7). Digging shows the City of David stood on the lower eastern ridge. The name moved to this western hill long after Bible times.

Read it: 2 Samuel 5:7; 1 Kings 8:1
