Jerusalem in the Time of Jesus

The solid black line shows the city walls in Jesus' time. The dashed line is a wall Herod Agrippa I added later. Find:

• the Temple court and the Antonia fortress, the "castle" of Acts 21:34;
• the pool of Siloam;
• the sheep pools, where Bethesda stood by the sheep market;
• Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives.

Golgotha and the tomb have question marks, because two places are proposed: this one near the wall, and Gordon's Calvary to the north. Calvary is the King James Bible's word for Golgotha; both mean the skull. The upper room and the high priest's house are placed by tradition.
